Action the Stick Man is a stick man in motion. Many people say that the only thing that they can draw is a stick man and that is a great place to start. If you want to be a doodle master it's important to have a point of reference. knowing how to draw a circle that looks like a circle is important and a technique for doing that will be described shortly. The extremities of the stick man, such as his spine, arms, hips, and legs are all represented by a simple line. After all of your lines are drawn then you can start to work around those lines and make them look more like arms and legs should you choose. Sometimes, drawing a simple circle that looks like a circle can be a daunting task. One technique that I utilize is by drawing a simple cross on the piece of paper. Then I lightly draw around the four points of the cross to get a decent circle. The line work, along with the circle, form the foundation of what it is you are going to be drawing. For example, if the stick man is going to have a bend in his arm the line drawn first should have a slight bend and the same thing works for the legs as well. Remember the Stick Man is the foundation of what you're going to draw. He is primarily a head represented by a circle. The line work consists of shoulders, arms, hips, legs, and the spine. All of which is demonstrated below in my stick man drawing. After the foundation is laid it becomes easier to add to your stick man, making him more animated. So, in conclusion I hope these simple drawing tips help you to add a little flare to your stick figure works of art.
ENJOY!
